Air Fryer Crispy Chicken Wings

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken wings, flats and drumettes separated
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp baking powder (aluminum-free)
  • ¾ tsp sea salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

Instructions

  1. Prep the Wings: Pat the chicken wings very dry with paper towels to remove any excess moisture. This is a crucial step for getting crispy skin.
  2. Season: In a large bowl, toss the wings with olive oil. In a separate small bowl, combine the baking powder, sea salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Sprinkle the seasoning mixture generously over the wings and toss to coat evenly.
  3. Air Fry: Place the wings in the air fryer basket in a single layer without overcrowding. Cook at 380°F (195°C) for 20 minutes, flipping them halfway through. For extra crispy wings, increase the temperature to 400°F (205°C) and air fry for an additional 5 minutes.
  4. Serve: Remove the wings from the air fryer and serve immediately, either on their own or with your favorite dipping sauce.
